When do mail-in ballots go out in NJ? Answering your election 2025 questions

Voters who want their ballot delivered to them via mail should request them through their county clerk's office no later than Oct. 28, according to the New Jersey Division of Elections.

Otherwise, mail-in ballots may be picked up in person from the county clerk's office by 3 p.m. Nov. 3.

All active and registered voters in the state are eligible to receive a mail-in ballot.

Mail-in ballots should be postmarked on or before 8 p.m. on Election Day and received on or before Nov. 10 to be counted.
