No-excuse absentee voting for Jackson County recall election begins Sept. 16

JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. — Jackson County residents can begin casting their votes on the recall election of the county executive at seven locations this week, as the no-excuse absentee voting period begins.

A special election is scheduled for Sept. 30, giving voters a chance to decide if they will recall or keep Jackson County Executive Frank White Jr.

The period for no-excuse absentee voting begins Tuesday, Sept. 16, two weeks out from the election date.

Fewer polling locations will be open Election Day due to the shortened election cycle, but seven no-excuse locations will be available for early voting in Kansas City. That is more than double the no-excuse absentee voting locations used in the April election.
