Judge rules against Comelia Walker in Canton election battle

A judge has ruled against former Canton mayoral candidate, Comelia Walker.

Walker, who lost the April 22 primary runoff race to Tim Taylor by 43 votes, requested a review of the ballot boxes.

Walker argued that some people were sent to the wrong precinct to vote, and she believes some affidavit ballots were not counted. The fight was taken to city hall, where Walker's cousin and current Mayor William Truly were among those who testified.

The court denied Walker's request and has determined that Tim Taylor will be the democratic nominee in the June 3 municipal general election.
