Red Kansas slowly turning Blue?

I had 23 Aunts & Uncles growing up, all but 3 were farmers and all die hard Rs except one. One of
my aunts from Gove county is recouping in our local hospital (Hays) after surgery and I've been
visiting every day this week. Her husband is MAGA as are probably all of my cousins, I pretty much
quit talking politics around them when dumpie got in the White House, they all bragged about him.

First day I visited I asked her a question about dumpie, her reply shocked me "Can you believe how
much that guy lies every day and people are not smart enough to see it?" That's the condensed
version of what she said!

She's also afraid to talk to anybody about how she views dumpie unless they bring the subject up first.
She mentioned 5/6 cousins who will not be voting for dumpie, this surprised me. All of them are on S.S.

This was my 4th day visiting today and been advising her in tactful ways to approach Rs. She agrees
we all need to vote a straight Democratic ticket in the midterms because elected Rs will not stand
up to the evil. Evil is her nickname for him. Good Lord works in mysterious ways.

I think my parents were too but I'm not sure. Dad was a volunteer worker at a polling place for a couple of years but I was too young to remember anything about the politics...He was in a union at the big refinery he worked at so maybe a Dem...

The ones who infuriate me are the ones who complain about Trump and how he’s ruining everything and then go and vote for him anyway.

Or even purple.

But at least you have your relatives waking up, and that's always a good thing.

Can't for the life of me remember what it was but I thought, "Good!" That doesn't happen every day!

I have two female cousins, one on each side of the family, who I can discuss anything with - and they both would fit in well on DU, especially the one in Colorado who is now stuck with Lauren Boebert as a Rep. She's thinking of moving. I have 12 first cousins who I once knew well since we grew up together, but now they're spread out all over the country and I'm particularly worried about the beliefs of the one now living in Tennessee.
