(38,063 posts)We only need one rule slow the abuse of cops.
After ever use of force, that includes drawing a weapon and any use of physical force, every cop needs to have a blood test for drugs and alcohol, including steroids.
There would be fewer cases of abuse and less substance abuse by LEOs.

(21,010 posts)I've known a few cops over the years... most were straight arrow-types, some were well camouflaged users that had their "Blue Brotherhood" buddies that made sure they never faced consequences for their actions.
In addition to substance abuse testing, we also need to get rid of unqualified immunity and make EVERYONE --cops, civilians, politicians-- liable to the same consequences.
