Absentee ballots available for Davenport fall elections

Davenport residents who want to cast absentee ballots for elections this fall can now request them.

Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins says voters can submit requests for absentee ballots by mail for the Davenport city primary election on October 7 and the city school election on November 4.

“It is a unique time as both forms can be requested and turned in together,” Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins. Voters must submit a request for an absentee ballot to receive a ballot via mail for each separate election. Ballots will be mailed starting on September 17 for the primary election and October 15 for the city school election.

The original completed absentee ballot request form is due in the Auditor’s office by 5 p.m. on Monday, September 22 for the Davenport city primary election and October 20 for the city school election. Voters must complete a separate form for each election.

Request forms are available in the Auditor’s office, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., by downloading a form here or by calling the Auditor’s office at 563-326-8631.
