Lisa Brown will seek re-election as Bettendorf alderman-at-large
With Bettendorfs growth occurring intensely in population, housing, and commercial development, comes huge challenges in leadership and how our decisions affect our community and our quality of life, she said. I have decades of service and experience in education, administration, parks and recreation, and city council, that have taught me how to set goals and deliver valuable public services efficiently and effectively.
The city council, Brown said, has always stood strong on issues of public health, safety, and quality services, that have allowed us to grow into a popular community in the Quad Cities area to raise a family or grow your business. I have the experience based knowledge required to make decisions to continue to reasonably develop valuable human, public and commercial assets for Bettendorfs future.
I believe it is important to take the time to listen and hear our constituents. I am laser focused on how our city responds to staffing needs of police, fire, and public works, she said. It is one of my utmost priorities to maintain quality services, public safety, and improve infrastructure to satisfy the needs of our ever growing community, commercial and housing markets.
Lastly, we have some exciting changes and decisions to be made in our parks and recreation area shortly which is how I began my involvement in the city to begin with and I have that knowledge needed to help make the appropriate decisions for our community.
