Republican Clay Fuller wins 14th Congressional District runoff, claims Marjorie Taylor Greene's seat

(NPR/GPB) Republican Clay Fuller will represent Georgia's 14th Congressional District in Washington, D.C., for the remainder of the current term.

Fuller won 56% of the vote. Democrat Shawn Harris won 43% of the vote. The Associated Press called the race after 8 p.m.

Harris, who ran against former U.S. Rep.Marjorie Taylor Greene twice, inched margins between the two parties much closer. He got just 35% of the vote against Greene in 2024.

Fuller, a North Georgia district attorney and former White House fellow, got Trump’s endorsement in a crowded special election with over a dozen candidates in March, and the president even promoted his campaign when he visited Georgia in February.

GA-14 is one of the reddest districts in the state. It would have taken a miracle for that seat to flip.
