An investigation is ongoing after a stray bullet from a nearby gun range, shot by local law enforcement, hit the monkey bars at the Gladden Farms Community Park in Marana early on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

The town of Marana confirmed there were no injuries, and no one was at the playground when it happened. The town confirmed the Sahuarita Police Department was doing rifle training when the bullet left the range.

The Marana Police Department said officers were called to the park, located near Tangerine and Gladden Farms, early in the morning for a shots-fired call.

The bullet came from the Marana Shooting Club, which is located less than half a mile south of the park.
