Arizona TSA agent faces federal charges in child sex sting operation
PHOENIX (AZFamily) A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is facing federal charges after allegedly luring an undercover agent posing as a teen in a child sex sting operation.
Jonathan Edward Veselka, 44, was arrested for attempted coercion and enticement of a minor, attempted transfer of obscene materials to minors and attempted transportation of a minor to engage in sexual conduct.
A task force officer with Homeland Security was posing on Kik, a social messaging platform, as a 14-year-old girl as part of an undercover human trafficking and traveler operation. On Sept. 11, the undercover agent began messaging with Veselka, who used the username honestjon81″ on the app.
According to federal court documents, Veselka began having inappropriate sexual conversations with someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl from Florida. While unknowingly messaging the undercover agent, Veselka allegedly sent sexually explicit images and videos.
