I rather liked “The Eye”. It is wayyy less alien and has more wayyy more personality in the one gruesome shot I saw of it than anyone associated with stuff like this. Everyone responsible for whatever this is should be ashamed of themselves. It’s only use is for contrasts and sorting:

Stuff like this reminds me of my tacky and despicable former employer (though they may disagree)-this looks like their notion of a world where the parameter “success” has been “optimized”.
I can’t believe they are trying to bring back “hustle culture”, ie pointless work that junk capitalism fosters, of absolutely no redeeming value whatsoever with the same stale chestnuts and values but “updated”.
It’s in every way a strain on real work or reality. Attitudes like those. Way to put women off work. But it fit my last employer and this completely disgraceful and irredeemable drivel I have seen here in my country starting from 2012 when I returned.
Except the local version also has a type of specific unknown nuisance creep from around here. Local flavor I guess. Indigenous creeps to balance out Western creeps or something I suppose. Like the Ambani-Zuckerberg thing. All very diverse as long as the main flavor is : a) creepy and b) kinda fascistic. Not dissing random workers in tech, but the worldview of the unreal people.
Ugly sort of world unless you robustly are certain you will file complaints and pushback. Go make junk elsewhere. Not in my home, street.

I should support this one artist Evgenia Kovda more. She is about as unlike the horrorshow described in that article above as it gets. I also like that she fleshes out a narrow bench of publicly visible female archetypes I am sure wouldn’t sellout (like her husband on the male side). I don’t know them but they seem normal.
You guys here on DU aside and you are just people not public figures, these guys I follow Yasha Levine and Evgenia Kovda, they are some of the very few relatable or honest people (you know practically speaking) I have seen out there on that side of reality. Like Lina Khan, Matt Stoller, Alec Karakatsanis. Khan is a bureaucrat so she isn’t battling it out keeping it real (as the cliche goes) in areas that are or have been devoured by capitalism like art/law/economics/journalism etc.

Bht the brain I suppose does crudely sort and cluster or some such thing. Not to bore people with GenX angst - that would be unpardonably irony challenged. But once things get scrambled, it is impossible to tell how those people think. My last employer is the type of nightmarish entity whose Marbury Lens is the world as seen by some people one has nothing in common with.Also Piagets stages but an older person -infantile and then teen angst at 50. All most objectionable. Yeesh.

It’s so fucked up. I keep looking for real life peeking through. I can’t believe anyone would want that counterfeit crap or let it grow by refusing to acknowledge it. Who would trust these creeps to not have a ubiquitous comp be all tacky ads and games. The world was probably built by a game designer! No it really wasn’t! When I was young we had implicit notions of complaints we could file that shouldn’t be overwritten by some rubbish out of Si Valley!
