(39 posts)in an off-grid cabin for 8 wonderful years. Sometimes, when the tides are high, the ocean surges through the rock and makes a thunderous sound that I could hear up the ridge. I hiked that trail to the overlook a lot. Thanks for the memory!

(16,768 posts)Thanks for sharing that little slice of your life. I've been to the Oregon coast and it's awesome. Almost moved there a long time ago, but then it wasn't the right time in my life for that move.

(382 posts)I am less than two hours from the central coast. Some of my favorites are: Hug Point State Park south of Canon Beach; Devils Churn and Strawberry Hill south of Yachats; Face Rock Beach in Bandon. I never take all that majesty for granted. I have never been to this secret beach spot so thanks for sharing! I will venture there soon!😊

(35 posts)back in the 1960s when it was still a secret! There was never anyone else there, and if the tide was out, we could walk to the arches. Lovely photo, and thanks for the memories!
