The circle of life! (Photo heavy, not for the squeamish).

Witness the circle of life with peregrine falcons on the California coast.

You show the circle of life so well. All these images are so sharp and clear; The feathers are practically tactile!

Great action shots too. Catching them in mid-air is tough.

I definitely had to work for these shots. I sometimes find myself shooting alongside people using $15k lenses. (My most expensive lens was $3k, and I thought that was crazy). I try hard to squeeze every iota of image quality out of my photos.

I've seen video of the New York falcons. Truly amazing!

This particular location is particularly wonderful. We can often see whales and dolphins as well as all kinds of owls and hawks.

The shot of the babies brings it full circle. That's what it's all about. Another month ot two and they should be fledging.

You can see them in the early morning hours when it first starts to get light and again around dusk. Sometimes, they attack pigeons in the air -- it's quite a sight -- and an easy kill for the falcon.

That is a great article about the falcons, thanks for sharing. You can find them in the L.A. area at Point Fermin, Point Vicente and sometimes Bolsa Chica.

The fastest living creatures on Earth. They can dive at 200mph, and knock a pelican out of the sky if it gets too close to their nest.
