The thing I’ve always treasured about flowers, especially roses and others with deep, dense pedals and color is their ability to stand out even without bright sunshine. The pedals are so deep with color that they radiate even without bright light. Thanks. Your farmer’s market shots are always a treat.

You explained something that I hadn't realized: how flowers with deep, dense petals radiate even without bright light.

I will remember.

I’m drawn to the first one, especially …. something about the group together taken from up above. It’s very different and I like it! TY for sharing these, Peggy!

I realized when I was setting up the shot, that from above would be very effective. I was very pleased when I saw my result.

My pleasure to share, always!

The soft pinks and yellows in the first photo are sublime.

My first floral shots at Longwood on Tuesday were taken under a cloudy sky. The colors were richer than the floral shots I took under a clear sky in the afternoon. Overcast = No harsh shadows. On the other hand, my landscapes and tree shots benefitted from the late afternoon sun.

I'm so glad to have found that overcast is good for shooting flowers! That's going to be useful; our spring season tends to be very gray.

Sublime is a word I don't hear too often. Thank you for that.
