Unbelievable capture just now . . . first night after the new moon.
This is a difficult shot. The moon is so slender that the camera has trouble focusing. I took maybe 7 exposures and only this one turned out. I did do some post-processing.

I'm glad that you had clear skies. We've had heavy thunderstorms tonight.
We had been heavily clouded-in all day--until this evening! Then suddenly the clouds broke up, and the skies cleared!
I looked out my kitchen window, and there it was.
I was galvanized!
But the truth of the matter is that I am nowhere near to being a pro. I have fun and my friends enjoy the results and that's enough for me.
I would call this one "A smile from outer space". Thanks for sharing!
