Visually stunning composition, the vultures wing placement and gaze are mesmerizing.

A falconer/bird rehabilitator brought a vulture to a talk I attended. He also introduced us to a peregrine, an Arabian hunting hawk and a couple of other raptors. I loved the vulture best. It was fairly calm on his arm, and its smooth ivory beak was beautiful. It spread its wings a couple of times and surveyed the room with a thoughtful eye. Really impressive. Like your photo, which reminds me a bit of an Edward Gorey illustration.
and awesome composition! love the gray scale~

The feathers in the picture are like a cloak and the picture reminds me of Phantom of the Opera. The snake's head branch adds to the aura of underground royalty.
