The First Oasis Shows In America In 16 Years Have Been Nothing Short Of BIBLICAL

This past week, Liam and Noel Gallagher took the stage in America for the first time in over 16 years; first in Chicago at Soldier Field on Thursday, and then two nights at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday/Monday. Going into the North American leg of the tour, there was a lot of talk about whether or not the crowds would live up to the high bar that the UK set....
After attending all three Stateside shows, I can confidently say that these crowds lived up to the hype and then some. It might not've been quite on level with the lunatics overseas, but I've been to hundreds of concerts in my life and have NEVER seen anything like what we just experienced in America....
-snip-
Everyone had smiles on their faces, emanating good vibes and a sense of community in this fanbase, and everyone felt like we were witnessing history together - because we were. This tour is going to go down in the rock n roll record books instantly, and not only for the boatloads of money the Gallaghers must be raking in; every Live 25 review you read is more positive than the last! Snobby music journalists cant even deny the magic unfolding on that stage every night! Oasis have never sounded better.
-snip-
Dont just take my word for it either - talk to anyone who went to these shows! Ive yet to find a disappointed customer, and almost everyone Ive discussed these gigs with describe it as a mind-blowing experience, many of which are calling it the best show theyve ever been to. In this cynical ass world where everyone wants to be too cool for everything, do you realize how rare that is?!

Much more at the link. I think I've already posted those US reviews. But I love seeing a British paper cover them.
When Oasis announced their long-awaited comeback, there was no doubt the UK concerts would be a mammoth success.
The same could not be said for the US, however, as the Gallagher brothers had famously failed to crack the country in the 1990s. Such fears were misplaced, it seems.
The arrival of Oasis in the US over the past week has been greeted with sold-out arenas and fawning reviews. Mainstream publications have heralded the second coming. The rocknroll bible Rolling Stone declared that Oasis finally conquers America.
The magazines review of the bands debut concert in Chicago last Thursday reserved special praise for Liam Gallagher and said no frontman in rocknroll conveys so much by doing so little. The crowds delighted response to the bands catalogue and the remarkable amount of twentysomethings in the crowd suggested they had cultivated a new generation of American fans.
