Classical Music

Mom loved it. The overture alone is a fine piece of music.

I caught the Met's Andrea Chenier this morning, and the singers really delivered.
OTOH, Cap Radio is presenting the highly obscure and rarely-heard Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven this afternoon.
Here's Peter Nero teasing it.
Seems that my copy, via "Thrift Store Sheet Music Supply" is "a little" simpler.
But the opening notes trick almost everyone almost everytime.
The audio's got more baubles than Borodin, but no bangles and beads.

(23,298 posts)I was using an iPad Air 2 or whatever, to play internet music.
It couldn't be updated enough to either run the Live365 app, nor even play in the browser. It worked great on everything else I was listening to.
I looked at it and the screen had pulled away from the case. OOPS. Looks like the battery swelled up. I just cleaned it out for electronics recycling. taking no chances. Batteries do explode. Just ask Elon (and he'll always blame the customer)
I'm using he newer iPad Pro right now, hooked up to the really good speakers and a decent amplifier.
That's supposed to be for music scores only, but I'll make it work a bit harder than intended.
Old ipads and iphones are great for streaming music. But they do eventually quit or apps refuse to run on them as updates cease.
Listen to classical music on the best speakers you can afford. They really make a difference.
It's not good what has been happening. Hit the hay at a reasonable hour, sleep for a bit after getting over an episode of allergic reaction to who knows, doodling on the phone, staying up till 6-7a. Then finally falling asleep. Wake up with one eye seeing what the hey time it be. Recently, 2p., 3p. now 4p. I feel like I'm gorilla glued to the mattress.
I was diagnosed with CFIDS (now another clinical name). When I overdo the day b4, it happens.
Now that I've exposed myself nationwide...😆

(23,298 posts)1/2 hour of tiki lounge remains.
I gave my daughter a book of Hawaiian Music. I have several courtesy of thrift stores. I am used to the ipad, so printed music needs lots more light. Scrounging for a lamp in my re-org.
Can't scan it all first.
Most thrifts won't take printers, so I kept the all in one. It has a limited sheet feed for scanning. But books have to be broken up into pages first.
Opera in 25 minutes.
