Clinton can count on the support of the big, national unions, with endorsements from at least 18 of them including the government employees union, teachers union, and the service workers union.

Sanders, on the other hand, has the support of just three national unions — postal workers, communications workers, and the national nurses union — but also many of the the grassroots labor groups, including local chapters who have disobeyed the decisions of national organizations.

According to Rand Wilson, a union official who co-founded the Labor Campaign for Bernie Sanders, grassroots movements want transformational change.
