(37,272 posts)i was at my daughter's house and the ice cream truck drove by and i looked at my five year old granddaughter and she had no reaction to it. i asked if she knew that was the ice cream truck and she said no. she's not a big fan of ice cream and so her parents never told her about the truck with the music and bells. but i remember how wonderful it was when i was a kid; i told her they have different kinds of ice cream treats (hoping they take her out the next time it comes thru their neighborhood). so the next day i went to the store and got a box of those drumstick cones, and a box of good humor strawberry shortcake. she wasn't crazy about either one but pretended to kinda like the strawberry shortcake.
that's when i started remembering about the chocolate eclair ones that i loved.
i'm thinking maybe she'd like those push-ups. i don't know if they still make them or sell them. i'll look for a box of those too (my daughter loved those when she was a kid)

(27,304 posts)We had a neighbor who didn't want her kid bugging her for ice cream from the Good Humor truck. So when the truck came down our street, just about every day around dinner time, she'd say, "Here comes the music truck!" Her son had no idea it sold ice cream!
