He had arthritis in his hips so I built him a ramp at the back door so he could go outside easier. I usually sit on the floor with him. My husband was dead by then so it didn't matter where I slept so I started sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room because it was much lower to the floor. Then I'd help him up into the bed. He still loved to play although the puppy we also had made him weary at times.
