The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsGood morning my DU family,
There's really nothing like having your taste buds awakened with you in the morning.
For me, that entails some variation of fruit like peaches or mandarin oranges hitting all the right notes. (I love peaches)
The joy of having our senses awake and enjoying our surroundings is such a key to being happy. They guide us in our sought experiences, and they enhance the quality of that experience immensely.
Please give us a day filled with opportunities to experience our surroundings with all our senses, from the bite of a peach to the smell of springs fresh blooms. From the sights, so different from just a month ago, to the feel of a gentle breeze against our bare skin.
Have a sensational day DU.
Love, John

(19,069 posts)Of course I am very bias to make a comment about thems little blueberries,... my being domicile to the State of Maine.
Don't get me wrong I do like peaches. I like to grab a bunch when in season and the price goes way down. Then we get out the Mason jars and canning utensils to preserve a bunch of quart jars of delicious peaches to replenish stocks out in the pantry
In the middle of winter is is a delightful recollection of the tastes of summer,.. while the wind howels, the snow flys, and it is freezing cold out of doors.
A few jars with a bow on top makes a delightful and welcome winter gift for friends. Invariably they say,. Oh wow,.. PEACHES,.. I haven't had those since last summer. A gift of the warm summer sun,.. in the dead freezing cold of winter. Heat the preserved peach slices up in a bowl with a few blobs of vanilla ice cream,.. Yum-yum.
Bon Appetit !
