... thanks for posting that clip. It was great to see Donald O'Connor, too.

A highlight of my life has been playing with Donald O'Connor when he was touring in a 2-man show with the great Mickey Rooney. Mr O'Connor was a super nice guy, as was Mr Rooney. At the end of the show they went to each orchestra member and thanked each one of us personally. Incredible.

Really cool to see this clip.

You may be interested in Shari Lewis' wiki entry, which I linked in Reply #3. She was amazing ... really worth the read.

She has an amazing bio: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shari_Lewis

It's well worth a read, at least it was for me. She was an amazing and talented person ... much more so than I thought.

Her father was called New York's "official magician" by Mayor Fiorello H. La Guardia during the Great Depression. (He) taught his daughter to perform specialized magic acts by the time she was 13 years old. Lewis also received instruction in acrobatics, baton twirling, juggling, ice skating, and music such as piano and violin. As an accomplished musician, Lewis conducted major symphonies in the United States, Japan, and Canada.

Much, much more at the wiki link above.

... I was only aware of her ventriloquist gig. At least I don't remember seeing her sing or dance, so it was really cool to see this. (Born in 1944.)
