1. It is not so much the brand name that matters to me

However if I find something that works for me , I tend to stick with it. For example, I have several pairs of Kizik shoes because I find them so convenient and well made.

When I was a young idiot I favored Chevy small block V8s because of the easy availability of high performance parts.

My bicycles all have Shimano parts for much the same reason.

I am on my 2nd Subaru Forester. It'd take a lot to move me from those cars.

Basically I stay with what has given me acceptable performance at an acceptable price.

Oh, I do like my Crocs.

I don't have any brand loyalty when it comes to clothes.

But there are questions about long-term reliability compared to V6s and V8s.

We could by speed parts at the neighborhood autoparts store. Those days are long gone.

... sometimes that means I stick with the well-known brand, other times it's with the store/generic brand.

The only shoes that I wear are Skechers. They're high quality and this brand is high on the comfort level for me.

Clothing, it doesn't matter.

I'm loyal to Gold Bond lotion. I'll take about any brand of over the counter pain reliever.

The only brands of marinara sauce I'll buy and consume are Franceso Rinaldi and Bertolli. In my regular grocery store the Franceso Rinaldi is frequently on sale for $1.49 with flyer coupon and or buy 2 for $4 so I buy that brand the most often.

I only purchase Jimmy Dean tubed pork sausage.

Aldi's sells Cabot Vermont Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese (my favorite cheese). I once picked up marinara sauce at Aldi's while I was getting the Cabot cheese. I ended up tossing the marinara sauce. It didn't taste good at all. I also got Aldi's tube pork sausage once and I ended up throwing that right in the trash as well. I'd rather spend extra money on higher quality tasting goods.

I'll buy any brand of packaged walnuts.

I'm one of "those people" where you could blindfold me and give me A&W Root Beer, Mug Root Beer and Barqs Root Beer. I could tell you once I got to the Barqs Root Beer because I think it tastes awful. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between A&W or Mug however because both brands are pleasant and don't taste "off" to me.

Even when I'm in ketosis, I can generally get away with consuming a 2 count of Reece's peanut butter cup every so often coming in at 32 grams of carbs. Yes, you read that correctly. I don't always behave and sometimes I'm not always strict with myself. I have yum yum weaknesses too!

I use to be loyal to Chevrolet, General Motors and then Ford. I think my loyalty to these brands are over with.

I'll see how many problems I have with this Mazda after 7 years and how long it lasts me. My Grand Prix (General Motors) lasted me for 15 years but it started giving me problems as soon as I paid it off.

I'm long winded today! Shut up, Niagara!

But there are rumors of it coming back. Probably not merit to it, though.

How about Stewart's root beer? Some people swear by that as well.

I've only ever had A&W, Mugs and Barqs.

I've heard of Dads but I've never had it. I've never had or hear of Stewart's Root Beer either.

18. Brand loyalty varies depending on what products I buy

I buy most of my food from a Navy Commissary and they have their "Freedom" on can years.llned vegetables, cereals, popcorn, etc.. I'll buy that brand because I know most of those brands are made buy better known brand names but with just another label on it. I learned in the early 70s house brands were made by the top three manufactures/producers in that sector. Canned vegetables with the Freedom brand taste just as good as the Green Giant brand.

For clothes, I buy for quality at a decent price.

I just bought a 20226 Honda CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid after owning a 2007 CR-V for 19 years. I've owned, mostly used, Chevys, Fords, Mercedes, Volvos, and I'm sold on Hondas.

19. There are some things the bargain brands excel at, and some things they just don't get.

Tomato soup for instance. Not a marquis, garlic Parmesan speciality, just a bowl of reliable tomato soup to go with your grilled cheese sandwich.

Campbells is still the gold standard for this. For me anyway, the store brands are just too watered down, and grilled cheese sandwich with a bowl of tomato soup is a comfort food for me.
