But a great treat on occasion. And if I am really celebrating, a biscuit alongside. Then I can't move for the rest of the morning. LOL

(3,204 posts)bacon for me, but Mom did make a great bacon sandwich. Toasted white bread (Arnold), lightly buttered with chili sauce on on-half, and grape jelly on the other, with 3-4 slices of crisp bacon-yummy of yesteryear.

(14,289 posts)When pancakes are on the menu they are of several varieties I make: buttermilk, blueberry, buckwheat, corn, apple fritter, banana nut, etc. and always served with maple syrup.
I also love oatmeal with apple and raisins and cinnamon.

(28,321 posts)two eggs (scrambled THOROUGHLY!), toast & grape jelly, coffee, orange juice. The All-American breakfast!
I REFUSE to eat runny eggs. I ordered eggs once at a restaurant, and the waitress asked me how I wanted them. I responded, "Vulcanized."

(37,063 posts)Runny fied eggs over fried corn tortillas with red chili gravy instead of salsa ranchero. When I make it myself I usually omit the beans because the eggs and chili is plenty for me.

(9,062 posts)The pancakes are the Walmart frozen variety which I am trying. I hate pancake mix because there is always food waste. These have small pouches of three which are just right. I disregarded the instructions and just heated them on the skillet with the eggs. Not as fluffy as the mix version but not bad for a first attempt!
