Grade level analysis website

ARrrgh, mine is 11th grade level and I'm since I'm but checked out somebody prolific and they are 5th grade.

I am a college professor so I entered two different samples of writing. The first was a sample of feedback I give students on a critical thinking paper. The second was the conclusion of my doctoral dissertation.

The student feedback was 11.66 in average grade level.
The conclusion of my doctoral diss. was 17.73.

This seems about right, given the different audiences.

Flesch Kincaid Grade level: 10.3.
Average Grade Level Score: 11.98.

Word used to have the Flesch Kincaid Grade level when you did a review of a document but not any longer. This website shows the same grade level I had as Word had.

I'm satisfied with what the score shows for me. As long as whoever reads it can understand what I'm saying. That's all it matters.

Here are the scores from a paragraph I wrote in an engineering tech volume a decade ago. I thought it was eminently coherent and readable for even the regular layperson, but maybe I was wrong...

Flesch Kincaid Grade Level: 21.05
Gunning Fog Score: 24.02
Coleman-Liau Index: 21.16
SMOG Index of Text: 20.27
Automated Readability Index: 23.8
Average Grade Level Score: 22.06
