I'm so glad you're here. DU is a wonderful place. Of course, being among like-minded people is really great, but aside from the political, there's something for everybody. There's always someone here 24/7/365, to listen, to give advice, to share their point of view, to commiserate, to sympathize, to congratulate, to educate, to entertain, etc. I can't say enough good things about DU; I truly believe this site is the best site on the internet and the people here are the greatest. I know you will feel at home here.

I recall attending a scientific conference in Houston a while back where one of the welcoming committee, a gay black man, gave the conference attendees a talk stating that Houston is a place where decency matters to many in the city.
