The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsFriday after Thanksgiving. My daughter's three kids--we have the younger two over for the weekend.
The 16 year old stayed home...... Not a surprise.
I called her around 6:00 about a financial question and there was background noise, she couldn't talk long, they were shopping.
That's cool.
Three hours later, I get a photo of a big-ass Christmas tree in their living room ---- with two of her four cats IN it. In branches, about 5 ft off the ground.
And these two are tubs. One is 16 pounds. His weight is normal for his breed. The other is just large.
Early Merry Christmas for the two cats. It's their first Christmas with the family. They are both under a year old.

(14,869 posts)I entered one of mine in one of the photo contests about four years ago. I won third place.
To do that, I had to message the photo to another D.U. member who posted it for me.

(1,755 posts)She never batted the ornaments or climbed the tree or chewed the wires or otherwise disturbed the tree. She just liked sleeping under it.
My two now, Martini and Holly, liked to rip open the tree skirt and drink the Christmas tree water, even though they got fresh water in their bowl twice a day. They also liked to knock the ornaments off the tree. I'd come home from work and there would be ornaments all over the living room. I finally put the ornaments I didn't like so much at the bottom of the tree.
I haven't put up a tree in the past several years so I don't know how they'd react now.
