what is with this live chat bit now on some channels? thanks in advance.

The person usually does a split screen with someone who has similar interests & sometimes they answer viewer questions.

I've seen my grandson participating in such chats & monitoring it for interaction from others viewing the "live stream."

Drove my crazy because it scrolled fast with lots of viewer comments.

Also, in my limited experience, the presenters often post such live streams on their channel under "videos," but also under the "live" heading.

Reading comments is entertaining but I do it after the video ends. With a live chat I can't keep up with the chat and actually watch and fully digest what's happening on the screen.

'Lives' are very popular on TikTok, so they are trying to implement it too.
