Q regarding benefits for my cousin, older widow of G.I.

My cousin is in a bad way. She lives just too far for me to check up on her state of being.
She broke her collar bone and has been in immense pain for weeks now despite having Medicare.
No family of her own, she's a widow. I am her closest relative.

Are there benefits available to the widow of a G.I. that might provide temporary in home care?

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Check with the local veterans affairs officer. Every county has one. Also, the local American Legion or VFW...
