Finally! My household goods were delivered in Costa Rica!

Two trucks brought my 242 boxed items to the house today. For those interested, they loaded the shipping container on June 25, so just about 90 days to get the shipment.
I only see about 12 to 15 that were inspected by US Customs.

I like the new place!

I am waiting for the okay to move into the place I signed a lease for... Housing Authority has to inspect it and a few other things. I hope to move in by the 15th.

Take your time unpacking.

May I ask what the estimated shipping cost is for 242 boxed items?

I'm curious to know how much item purging I don't have to do.

I may move abroad and assume that shipping costs are probably so excessive that I will leave everything behind, except for very, very things.

I know that shipping goes by weight, but I was thinking that it would be less expensive to have already owned small compliant appliances shipped with extra adapters.

I also looked to see if Amazon delivers in Costa Rica and for the most part depending on particular items it does but there's additional taxes and shipping costs.

I'm always looking for helpful expat information.

Not right away, but please keep us updated on how the house unpacking and organizing is going with a few photos if you can. I know you have an abundance of work to get done but take your time and don't overwork yourself.

I'm excited for you. Viewing your new surroundings is almost like us being there too.
