5. Scott Glenn as Wes Hightower in Urban Cowboy

My desktop PC is extremely unwell and uncooperative and has been for awhile.

I have to use my phone to do anything. I can share videos on DU but not photos.

Scott Glenn once said that he had a big ego and didn't bother showing up for the audition for Urban Cowboy.

He said he dressed up in his cowboy gear and walked into the bar when he knew the crew and cameras were there.

Scott then found the toughest looking guy in the bar and said, "You're in my seat."

The toughest looking guy got out of that seat and moved to a different seat.

Scott Glenn says that's how he got the part of Hightower.

I believe that Scott Glenn is a brilliant actor.

Perhaps he didn't want to play a creep and then changed his mind. Who knows.

I can operate a phone, but I certainly cannot do all the same things on a phone that I can do on my laptop. So I can relate to your tech challenges.

Hope your desktop can be resuscitated!

Thank you, True.

I suspect it needs a windows reinstall and maybe some new parts. I'm not a tech type of person at all.

I can't remember the exact details, but it was definitely due to an explosive. Although the damage could be fixed easily by the within the show's universe, it was due to everyone mispronouncing his name that he kept his face. At least people could remember that.

People would forget his name, mispronounce it, or not even know it, but his face? It was memorable.

一人 is usually pronounced/read as Hitori. However, the pronunciation of his name is Kazundo.

Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko.

(The irony is that he is imitating the real villains in our society.)

in “Lonely Place,” a 1964 episode of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour (season 3, episode 6).

Dern plays an itinerant creep who gets his kicks from making other people extremely uncomfortable, in this case the beleaguered, trapped farm wife (Teresa Wright), who gets no help from her ineffectual husband (Pat Buttram).

I won’t give away the ending, but let’s just say it’s a good payoff. I watched this episode on my grandparents’ big console B&W TV set as a kid, and it stuck with me. Dern is very effective as a manipulative, sadistic weirdo. The episode relies primarily on suspense and mounting tension (and great writing and acting) rather than overt violence or gore.
