(2,198 posts)Should have been call "Hare Saloon" or drunken bunny.
I'll make this short..after asking her to do a certain cut, I wanted to get a cup of used motor oil and
throw it on her.. Jesus Christ... My husband said "Did she cut your hair with a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower?
That was funny for 1/324 of a second....

(2,198 posts)No..I think the person that cut my hair was having a very bad day. She was shaking some...kinda weird.
I let it go. again..maybe after 4 months they moved ...into Hell.

(126,319 posts)It was a very short haircut which was inflicted on me because I had unruly, easily tangled hair that I resisted brushing, so my mother decided the best way to deal with it was to have most of it cut off. I was already a dorky-looking kid, small, shy, had just gotten dorky glasses because I was so nearsighted, and then I got this awful haircut that made my ears stick out and exponentially increased my already high level of dorkitude. I recall getting hysterical and refusing to go to school, which of course wasn't on, so I had to go to school and endure the increased teasing that comes with being a hopeless dork (a condition that continues to this day but I cope with it a lot better now). I had kind, loving parents in most respects but I never quite forgave my mom for that.

(9,675 posts)Decades ago, I got a perm at a new place and would up with hair that was basically burned, with patches that fell out at the crown and top of forehead. I was livid; no real remedy except to wait and let it grow, then cut it short for awhile.

Never went back to that place again.

(52,460 posts)used the entire package to make my hair a pretty auburn color. It looked pretty good, but my father went ballistic and made me wash my hair until it was back to mousy brown.
Luciferous
(6,462 posts)dye it, now I appreciate it. I wish my kids would have gotten my red hair, but unfortunately neither one did.
Luciferous
(6,462 posts)a dare and I didn't mind that so much but growing it back was a nightmare.

(13,054 posts)It's been nigh along 40 year now. Things was different back then...ayup.
But, I tell ya, if you put on your best Girbaud parachute pants, a skinny collared shirt buttoned at the top with a bolo tie, and a white blazer, ye'd be remiss if you weren't sportin' business in the front and party in the back on your head.

(9,985 posts)had VERY SHORT haircuts. My mom just didn't want to bother with our hair every day. Sis and I were often mistaken for boys. We absolutely hated it!

(11,669 posts)The thing is, my hair tends toward frizz - you don't "add volume" to that. It took about eight years to fully grow out.
debm55
(48,805 posts)that took a long time.
