(28,352 posts)The Outer Limits was the equivalent of full-on thrash rock. I loved it - even the scary parts.

(478 posts)It was good for it's time but by today's standards it would be lame. I remember watching one episode with my little brother who was about five years old. It was about aliens to exiled their prisoners to Earth. The prisoners looked like spiders with human-like heads. It scared the heck out of my little brother and gave him nightmares.

(20,746 posts)We lived way out in the country 1971-72. If we were lucky, we'd pick up a channel on rabbit ears and watch tv.
One night, my husband's brother was hanging out with us. The guys were drinking beer. We were either watching or discussing an episode of Night Gallery. The story was about trees out of control and attacking humans. My brother-in-law left to answer a call of nature. He was gone long enough for us to start wondering, when he burst back into the living room with a gigantic leafy branch sticking out of the neckhole of his shirt, and screaming dialogue from the show. He'd sneaked outside to get the branch. We about died laughing. Crazy times. Thanks for the memory.
