Many decades ago….

My teenage girlfriend and I would skinny dip in my parent’s swimming pool
late at night,

we’d sneak into pool at summer nights, by opening the locked squeaky metal gate very slowly,

And the pool was set back a little from the house, maybe only 40 feet,
But it was surrounded by a six foot height privacy fence on three sides,
The ‘entrance to pool was metal gate and fence maybe 20 wide at front towards the house.

Tips from the top:
Lakes, ponds, and rivers are a barebottom hoot. But there's nothing like returning to the restless seas just as nature made you.

girlfriends. Good memories. Like most young people (and I suspect even today) in the early 70s we were quite rebellious and sexually adventurous.

With nothing but a cup of coffee. Enjoyed listening to the birds while we planned our day.

Went to an all boys school, Lane Tech in Chicago. Swim class was mandatory
and we all swam in the buff. But these days? Trust me, nobody wants to see that.
A few years after I graduated the school went co-ed so they probably went to trunks.

the guys wore these skimpy "trunks" that left little to the imagination.

I'd be mistaken for a Humpback for sure!

You could have just used a thimble, or the cap of a tube of Chapstick. Or even a grain of sand would have worked.

Also, I'm questioning why you photoshopped out most of my chest hair, True Dough.

Don't you remember people pulling up alongside you in their motorhomes mistakenly looking to refill their water tanks with your hose?

As for your chest hair, I photoshopped some out so people could clearly see your face. That's all.

Jax has a lot of marshes, streams and lakes and back in the day there were a lot of spots to swim in and no one else would be there. That was before they allowed all the gators to come back so it was still safe. We skinnydipped in these hidden wooded places often. Later, when I lived in the foothills outside San Jose, CA there was a small lake behind the houses, very secluded, and we skinnydipped there occasionally when it was really hot. I've only gone skinny dipping once in the ocean, it was too cold in northern CA for that and too many people at the beaches in FL. Quit going skinny dipping after we had children and moved back to FL. to help take care of parents.

Even as an adult, the memory of what would happen if I broke the law lingers on. Well, except for speeding.

go at all, the river is chock full of springs thus the water is literally ice cold...brrrr! Heck, just standing out in the water in my waders, my legs still got cold when I got back to shore eventually.

It was late night and I had a companion. Fun!
Now I have a swimming pool and occasionally jump in sans attire. My dogs think it is okay.

Daughter was angry. Not because I skinny dipped but because I swam with nobody around in case I needed help. I was in my elder years, ahem. I guess she thought I might have a heart attack or something...

There were a couple of secluded creeks about a 10 minute drive from campus.

They were coeducational affairs with just a handful of friends, and they frequently included music, poetry, and mind expanding goodies.

Sure felt good though.

Natural and man made. Good times.

I’ve always been self-conscious about my body. Even when I was at the peak of physical condition, and had real, actual abs, I never felt comfortable enough about my body to do something like skinny-dipping.

When my future wife and I lived in Eureka California, we would go to a place that had cool, deep swimming holes with lots of mud to roll around in.

Stupidly, in a gross lake, and ended up with a rash in a bad spot.

I asked my wife & she says "never" too.

A river that fed the small nearby lake had a swinging bridge and we swam there one time. Went swimming sans clothes at a couple of rock quarries. A friend had an indoor pool and when his parents were out of town we swam there...I'm a badd boy. I also went streaking one time in my little town when running naked was in vogue...

During my first marriage we had many late night skinny dips at our pool, and we went to a nude beach on vacation once. Long time ago.

my dermatologist read me The Riot Act about my proclivity to skin cancer and my history of melanoma.

I don't even go to the nude beach club on a cloudy day now.

Yes, but I assure you that naked 70 year olds can clear a crowded hot spring out fast, lol.

In my 40’s and 50’s our group of 3 couples soaked nude in warm springs around NM. Once we went on a week of camping around NM checking out lots of warm springs. At one site, we hiked in 2 miles to a spring crossing the River many times thinking we would be alone - but when we arrived there were about 50 nude people in the springs. As we all got older - we definitely stopped. . 🙃

One of life’s pleasures is a jump in the lake when you’ve been backpacking out on the trail for a few hot days. No sense in getting your clothes wet. Yay north woods!
