They said it was a defensive move? Brittany was out for Atlanta. And CC is as good on defense any anyone to steal the ball. But I am no coach so what do I know?

....CC was a defensive liability. She's not.
Her plus/minus last year was tops in the league. I know that is correlated to her scoring, but if she was a bad defender the opponent would have scored enough to reduce that number.

In the 2024 WNBA season, the top three players by plus-minus were: 1. Caitlin Clark (IND) with 337, 2. Alyssa Thomas (CON) with 317, and 3. Natasha Cloud (PHO) with 263.

She was one of 2 players with that metric over 300.

Was a stupid move.
