Have to admit, I never met a rude NYer. They'd give the shirts off their backs for anyone, but they'd do it quickly. They got places to be.

Here, in my new red state, people are much less willing to help others. They enjoy watching. Rubbernecking. Recording for views. It is... problematic.

If they didn’t always stick to the niceties like please and thank you it was because they were in too much of a hurry. But ask them for help they’ll take the time. I’ve never lived in Florida or any Republican area. So I don’t know.

Dude... the subway? THAT is how you organize a city. I know it smells and is sometimes a bit iffy, but so much better than the sprawling parking lot that is Miami-Dade
