(2,298 posts)Adopted a black cat 2 months ago after Calvin died. He was 13.
Callie trills, she doesn't meow.
We have owned black cats for over 35 years.
We love them!

(1,405 posts)She looked like a mini-panther with longish hair.
I name all my pets after mythical goddesses or gods. So this kitten was named after Minerva, goddess of medicine and magic. That was 14 years ago. Today, as an indoor-only kitty, Minnie is happy, beautiful, sweet, and has never been sick a day in all that time. She understands what I say, and is my cuddle buddy all night long even if she has to squeeze in to find room among the fluffy comforter thats being dominated by her siblings one alpha American Eskimo pup and a kind and loving mini Saint Bernard.
Thank you so much, catbyte, for always sharing such wonderful animal videos.

(250,230 posts)To me, they are the most beautiful cats, 2 of them were long-haired. And every year my brother gives me a calendar with pic of a black cat for every month.
