Friday Night Vodka Buzz. Ask me anything.

One shot to get the party started. Usually two. But I just bought a bottle of the local product, Bainbridge Island vodka. I’m not crazy about it. Olympia Brewing’s vodka was much better.

Bainbridge vodka is sharp, acidic, and junipery, like Finland’s Reyka vodka. I couldn’t even finish my bottle of that. If I want juniper, I’ll drink gin.

Anyway, now a Delmonico #1. Gin, cognac, sweet and dry vermouth, and Angostura bitters. Nice.

Happy Friday, everyone. I love you all…

I had the best mojito last week at a restaurant in Niantic MA. It might have been the 9.5 hours driving that made it taste so good, but I think the bartender knew what he was doing. It was very cold and minty and limey. I am going to be experimenting, because I want that experience again, and I am a long way now from that fabulous and unexpected place.

Earlier this week with some sort of espresso coffee drink and a liquor made with 43 ingredients . I believe it was a drink originating from S. of the border. It sounded pretty good.

Did you happen to see that post?

Have a good weekend.

are made with Licor 43, which is indeed made with 43 ingredients. I think that you would find its history fascinating.
