Enjoying a French 125 tonight.

Cognac, triple sec, and champagne. It’s a variation on the French 75, named for, of all things, the 75mm workhorse artillery piece of the French Army during World War I.

It’s good. It could hardly fail to be; cognac and champagne. What’s not to love?

I had the best and a meh mojito this past week. The best was sprightly and fresh, fizzy, very cold and very minty, the other was very sweet and dead.

75mm, 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, and so on. It’s not a hard and fast rule. There are plenty of 90mm and 105mm field pieces out there.

I sent a lot of 120mm stuff down range. But I was only ever on the receiving end of a single Scud missile. It missed.

Saddam Hussein bought scads of weapons from whomever would sell them to him. Investing in the maintenance and training requirements was much lower down on the list.
