With Trump in a holding pattern on Iran war, allies and critics worry he risks getting boxed in

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is facing warnings from foes and allies alike that he’s getting boxed in on the Iran war, a conflict he sold as a brief military incursion but that has since settled into a holding pattern.

It’s been nearly a week since U.S. and Iranian negotiators reached a tentative agreement to extend the ceasefire in the conflict by 60 days and start a new round of talks on Iran’s nuclear program that required Trump’s sign off.

But Trump has called for unspecified changes to the agreement and Iranian officials — perhaps calculating that the Republican president is reluctant to restart the bombardment after burning through key weapons systems — are showing no signs they’ll give in to new demands.

He is trying to block the Strait of Hormuz to drive up energy prices. He has no interest in a resolution.

1. Krasnov is releasing millions of gallons of oil from our strategic reserve to try to keep the price of oil down, more importantly, the price of gasoline down.

2. How will Krasnov look if on the 4th of July gasoline hits $6/gal?

3. Krasnov absolutely wants Hormuz reopened but Navy officers are telling him that it is a tough row to hoe for the military to reopen Hormuz. I hear that 300 ships have agreed to pay Iran the toll to go through Hormuz.

4. Krasnov is going to take the fall for this ill advised war, it may crash the US and world economies. Hormuz better be opened by the 4th of July, time is on Iran's side.

The Strait was a virtual certainty to be closed when we attacked Iran. There was a straight line between the two events.

Reducing the strategic reserves makes the oil of those that can still produce more valuable.

Trump would be fine if gas was $10 a gallon. He is certainly profiting from the volatility in oil prices by speculating in the market himself. He is one of the most venal, evil rulers of the last 80 years. His goal is to bleed every last dollar from every American, and every person in the world, until he owns everything and we are just property.

The U.S. is blockading the Strait along with Iran.

Trump does not care about "taking the fall". He is an obese 79 year old man that has been using drugs for is entire adult life and has multiple health problems, in addition to dementia. He does not have much time on this earth, and he hates everyone. Every policy he has feels like a Nero Decree.

Bessent has actually bragged about American oil being available for purchase as opposed to the oil coming out of the Strait.

The only positive aspect of Trump's regime is that the rest of the world is sick of us and has the political will to reduce their exposure to America, which means reducing their exposure to fossil fuels.

IRAN DOESN'T WANT A DEAL Time is on Iran's side. It is pointless to have a civilian Iranian official doing the negotiations, the Iranian revolutionary Guard is in charge of Iran.

Krasnov is lying out of his fat ass when he says that Iran wants a deal, he wants out. His bogus statement that he read the riot act to Bibi is also a lie. Krasnov needs someone to blame for his disastrous war.

is that Iran's economy is in shambles and they could use oil exports. That said, I think they are getting oil out.

Why would Iran want an agreement?

Every day Iran is making deals with countries for safe passage through Hormuz, it doesn't need the US to do that.

Krasnov is the one who dearly needs an agreement.

Why would Bibi stop fighting? Bibi used Krasnov so that he could get more land for Israel in Gaza, the West bank and now Lebanon. Bibi is happy with the war, he is getting what he wants. By the Bye, Krasnov never in a million years read Bibi the riot act, he doesn't have the guts.

Every time that Krasnov says that Iran is desperate for a peace plan I laugh out loud. Time is on Iran's side.
