These are right-wing talking points that are 20 or 30 years old. The woke mind virus is nonsense as is the criticism of the "studies" programs. Yes, it is fine to critique individual instances of published research that do not meet the normal standards for scholarship but to characterize and criticize entire departments as essentially worthless is another thing.

Second, the "administrative bloat" has much more to do with the notion of running universities like a business than it does with any left-wing ideology. The majority of the new admin positions appear to have virtually nothing to do with DEI.

Third, $100,000 per year for tuition? Not at my university and not at most. The characterization this writer makes of universities seems to have all the tropes. At least it lists some of the "positive" contributions of the university to our society, so it ain't all bad.
