Trump Cabinet Urged to Invoke 25th Amendment Against President

Source: Newsweek

President Donald Trump's social media post on Easter morning has prompted fresh calls to invoke the 25th Amendment, which only the president's Cabinet can do.

-snip- (background)

Senator Chris Murphy, a Connecticut Democrat, urged the Cabinet to consider the 25th Amendment, which allows it to remove the president from office under certain conditions, calling the president's post "completely, utterly unhinged."

"If I were in Trump's Cabinet, I would spend Easter calling constitutional lawyers about the 25th Amendment," he wrote. "He's already killed thousands. He's going to kill thousands more."

The "thousands" likely refers to civilians across the Middle East caught in the crossfire of the war as well as Iranian military personnel. U.S.-based rights group HRANA reported that 3,531 people have been killed, of which 1,607 have been civilians, and the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies have said at least 1,900 people have been killed and 20,000 injured in the strikes so far, according to Reuters.

25th just takes away his power until he gives Notice to Congress that he's ready to return.

Even if Trump is bat-shit crazy (which he is), Stephen Miller could be Trump's beard and tell Congress that the 25th is no longer in play.

their unsuitability for their positions, precisely to guarantee that they will never use the 25th. Each and every one of them is so unqualified and embarrassing that even JD Couchfucker Vance would not keep them around, and they know it. They occupy positions today that they could never dream of reaching in any other circumstance. To vote for 25th is to vote to fire oneself. These grifters and opportunists are too selfish to do that, they were chosen because they were so.

Quit wasting time talking 25th, the Cabinet serve a constituency of one and are not afraid of you or the public. Put the blame on Repugs in Congress for their war powers votes and refusal to perform oversight. They are on the ballot in November. Make the public mad at them.

In the real world, nothing will happen until the gop idiots wake up and see what is happening. Nothing will happen until we vote them all out at the ballot box. They are to blame for what is happening and they need to pay the price. Until then, nothing will be done to stop trump and it will only get worse. At this stage, he is capable of anything and no one dates stop him.

I saw Tim Kaine talking about the budget as if it were business as usual. This is the kind of bullshit from Democrats that has the public so angry with us. He was talking like "$1.5 trillion wouldn't be prudent. We'll probably have to trim that to $1.4 trillion" Those aren't his exact words, but you get the point. We have literally a madman in charge now. He is firing our best Generals, firing cabinet Secretaries who won't commit enough crimes for him. He's stealing taxpayer money directly and indirectly by manipulating the markets while his posse places hundreds of millions of dollars in trades. And this Kaine guy can only say "We'll have to take a look at it"?

Why are we in Iran at all? Where is the urgency? Democrats should be spending every waking hour demanding that Republicans fix their problem and refuse to cooperate on ANY legislation or appointments until they do. If the Republicans have the votes to keep Trump alive, well, at least make them own it.

Noemi a one time campaign rival, grossly ambitious, Bondi, a too circumspect work arounder at the DOJ. Rumors teasingly coming from his own chief of staff(imho, quite possibly an ENEMY fed Trump's paranoia). Miller- no way out, double down on fascism. Vance- like Claudius with Caligula, but everyone hates him anyway. HARD to elevate anyone to VP who does not become an instant threat. Taking it out on the professional military, because, well, professionalism itself is a threat.

Could be like the easy answer to his disappearance and the scattering of him and his people in general. Iran makes it quite possible they have targets painted on their backs- like forever.(Bondi "Please gog, make him fire me! " Magog(gog stepped out to war tourist Iranian girl schools and civilian infrastructure "Done, my daughter!&quot

You can of course make this sh*t up.
"Mr. president we have finally intercepted chatter from one of the several elite assassination teams we suspect are out to get you. A single unidentifiable e-mail fragment "...s in the bag!" Now, we have reason to believe cross referencing this with some of the Epstein withheld files...."

"Wahhhh! You're fired! Get that transfusion bag away from me. I need to be surrounded by COMPETENT idiots. Get me FOX news HR, but no interview. Someone hid my cell phone again. You are all against me! Can't even hold a golf club even if the makeup weren't so slippery. Miller, what do we do? In the bag...I thought the Trump the Vote Operation was 'in the bag'. Why are they using my words? Where is the CIA? Wait, fire Gabard."

THE HUMAN TOLL.

IRAN: 2,076 DEAD. 26,500 WOUNDED. 600 SCHOOLS HIT.

At least 2,076 people have been killed and 26,500 wounded in Iran since the war began on February 28. Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs says more than 600 schools and education centres have been struck.

ISRAEL - At least 28 people killed and over 3,200–6,500+ injured.

LEBANON - Fatalities: At least 1,345–1,422, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
Injuries: Over 4,000 recorded injuries.
Displacement: Approximately 1.2 million, which represents nearly one in five people in Lebanon.

UAE: The UAE Ministry of Defence has disclosed the full human and military toll of Iranian aerial attacks since February 28, 2026, confirming 12 deaths, 190 injuries.

Bahrain: Multiple reports confirm at least 2 to 3 civilian deaths.

Oman: Reports confirm 3 deaths, including a mariner and individuals in a drone attack on an industrial area.

Saudi Arabia: At least 2 civilian deaths reported.

Qatar: Four Qatari servicemen and three Turkish nationals were reported killed in a helicopter crash

USA: At least 13 service members have been killed, 1 MIA, about 600 wounded, that have been reported.

Behind every number is a family. A child. A future that no longer exists.

End the war. Now.

Your savings in dollars are losing value every single day this war continues.

Oil goes up. Gasoline will be going up a lot more. Gold goes up. Bitcoin goes up.

The dollar buys less.

The middle class will pay for this war through inflation. They always do.

This is only Day 36.

END THE WAR.

And thus Armageddon (and the end of the world.) Some have said so themselves:

"The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) says it has received more than 200 complaints from service members across all branches of the armed forces, including the marines, air force and space force.

One complainant, identified as a noncommissioned officer (NCO) in a unit that could be deployed “at any moment to join” operations against Iran, told MRFF in a complaint viewed by the Guardian that their commander had “urged us to tell our troops that this was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’ and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ”.

“He said that ‘President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth’”, the NCO added."
