I don't know what's gotten into spelling. YouTube videos, titles, slide decks, things the authors should have checked, are all over the place too. And I'm not talking about speech to closed-captioning. I mean spelling errors. Mistakes. Does no one proofread their work? No spellcheck? No time for spellcheck?

There is an advertising/persuasive speech technique called "The erroneous conclusion."

The technique is that a mistake is made somewhere in the conversation or on the advertisement, which starts a dialog leading to discussions about not just the error but the circumstances surrounding it. Creating a buzz.

The simplest form is the reversal of a letter on store signage. That can actually lead to someone walking into the store to inform the management of their "error" therefore providing the store with a possible customer.

Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The Business Man" is a satire, and "Based on the search results, "bussinessman" (often misspelled) appears frequently in social media posts, memes, and content tagged with #satire, #parody, or #humor. While sometimes a simple misspelling of "businessman," it is used in satirical contexts to mock or caricature greedy, corrupt, or pretentious business figures, often in political or parody posts."
