IRS Agents to Review OnlyFans Content to Determine if It's 'Pornographic'

Source: MEDIAite

Dec 1st, 2025, 11:43 pm

Some IRS agents won’t have to worry about getting in trouble for watching porn at work, because part of their job duties will literally involve reviewing content on OnlyFans and other online creators.

The issue, according to a report by Andrew Duehren at The New York Times, is the interpretation of a restriction on the “no tax on tips” deduction passed as part of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act that says that tips earned for prostitution or “pornographic activity” are not eligible.

The legislation didn’t offer much additional guidance, and the IRS has yet to issue any statements clarifying what exactly constitutes “pornographic activity,” leaving the taxing agency in a similar boat as Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart when he endeavored to define “obscenity” in the 1964 case of Jacobellis v. Ohio: “I know it when I see it.” And apparently, the IRS expects its agents to “know it when they see it” as far as determining eligibility for this deduction.

There are almost five million creator accounts on OnlyFans, reported the Times, but it’s not clear how many of them are Americans and subject to U.S. tax laws, and not all of them are posting pornographic or sexual content. It’s also “unclear,” wrote Duehren, “whether strippers could claim the tips deduction,” because “[t]here is plenty of activity that an accountant or tax lawyer could argue is merely titillating.”

My impression has always been that women are the creators and consumers of the "romance" genre fiction. However men (mostly) are the creators and consumers of the raunchier stuff that most of us label as "porn."

Yes I know ... there are many exceptions ... but I'm talking in general terms only.

In 2020, estimates suggested there were nearly 30 million pornography websites, comprising about 12% of all websites on the Internet.
In 2022, the total amount of pornographic content accessible online was estimated to be over 10,000 terabytes.

The four most accessed pornography websites are Pornhub, xHamster, XVideos, and XNXX.

As of 2025, a single company, Aylo, owns and operates most of the popular online streaming pornography websites, including:
Pornhub, RedTube, Tube8, and YouPorn, as well as pornographic film studios like: Brazzers, Digital Playground, Reality Kings, and Sean Cody among others.

Some have alleged that the company Aylo is a monopoly.

It does not own websites like xHamster, XVideos, and XNXX.

They can dress up their tax argument however they like, but after the administration determined that certain female-dominated fields are no longer considered professional, let's not shit around about what this review really is.

Repressing women in every facet of society is a given. Turns out the "Puritans" are actually pedophiles or worse. Keeping the Epstine files hidden keeps the richest of these perverts from being exposed.

Some OF creators offer a "free" subscription option where teasers are posted. Those teasers can be pretty racy. The end game though is to earn money and these OF creators who do a "free" option ultimately want you to sign up for a "VIP subscription" where you pay a fee, the content is more personal. And possibly more explicit. That's my experience with spicy content creators.
