'Succession' Actress Dasha Nekrasova Dropped by Agency and Film After Controversial Nick Fuentes Podcast Goes Viral

Source: Decider

Dasha Nekrasova — the Succession actress also known for A24’s Materialists — has been fired by Gersh following the resurfacing of a lengthy podcast interview with far-right personality Nick Fuentes. A representative confirmed the agency’s decision to Deadline, marking a swift industry response to the brewing controversy.

The fallout extended to Iconoclast, the upcoming thriller directed by The Night Agent star Gabriel Basso. Nekrasova had recently been announced as part of the cast, but sources tell Deadline her contract was pulled before signing due to the same podcast backlash. Though the Fuentes interview (which has since been deleted) was posted to YouTube a month ago, it only started circulating widely in Hollywood this week, prompting rapid calls to distance from the actress.

The interview appeared on Red Scare, the cultural commentary show she co-hosts with Anna Khachiyan. The two-and-a-half-hour episode — titled “Fuentanyl OD – Nick Fuentes x Red Scare (Dasha Nekrasova and Anna Khachiyan)” — plays largely as audio due to what Nekrasova labeled “technical problems,” and reached over 220K views before being deleted.

Across the conversation, the trio discusses “international jewery” and leans into offensive stereotypes about Jewish people, Italians, Asians, and others, alongside eyebrow-raising remarks about the Holocaust and immigrants from developing countries, particularly non-white ones.

Not exactly mainstream news, but I feel it's noteworthy that at least one person is facing consequences for giving extremist assholes a voice.

Political views

Nekrasova voted for Donald Trump in the 2024 US presidential election, after having supported Bernie Sanders in 2016.[40] In July 2024, she told Michael Tracy on the System Update podcast: "I genuinely do love Donald Trump for the way he makes me feel. I did watch some of the RNC - I found some of it pretty electrifying. I think, in terms of images I like to see, I love Donald Trump."[41]

In February 2023, Nekrasova debated political polarization at the Yale Political Union, where she spoke in favour of polarization, declaring that, in the aesthetics of political discourse, "extremism is sexy."[42]

In March 2023, Nekrasova and Khachiyan attended a New York Young Republican Club party featuring Roger Stone,[43][44] and in 2025 she attended a party in celebration of Trump's inauguration alongside right-wing figures such as Steve Bannon and Curtis Yarvin.[45]

In January 2025, Nekrasova said that she hoped Trump would withdraw military aid for Ukraine, as he had promised during the election, and hoped that he "ends the war." She said this was a reason she had voted for Trump

...a couple (or more?) years ago, around the same time that she and her Red Scare co-host (Khachiyan) both went far-right. That certainly was at least tangential to the influence of Tech-Bro Fascism (they admitted to being funded by Peter Thiel). Another bad sign: after Nekrasova became a MAGA chud, she proceeded to convert at once to radtrad Latin-Mass-zealot-style Catholicism .

Fortunately, most people--unless they're Extremely Online--have never heard of Nekrasova (except perhaps for her occasional acting stints) . Before the hard-right turn, she used to travel in the same circles as the hosts of the Chapo Trap House podcast, so she's fairly obscure (for her political views, at least).
