Russia's AI robot falls seconds after being unveiled

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Omaha Steve (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Source: BBC

Footage shows the moment Russia's first anthropomorphic robot, AIdol, fell just seconds after its debut at a technology event in Moscow.

The robot was being led on stage to the soundtrack from the film 'Rocky', before it suddenly lost its balance and fell. Assistants could then be seen scrambling to cover it with a cloth - which ended up tangling in the process.

So, to show the world the awesome power he commands, Poots will now proceed to obliterate Moscow with his zillion-mph ICBM which will explode on the launching pad.

I spent years of my childhood ducking and covering for this?

to cover up in case of mishaps, but didn't plan well enough to make sure it wasn't tangled so badly that by the time they'd stretched it across the stage, what was left of Metal Mikhail had already been swept up and dragged offstage, presumably to AI Gulag.

Me, I'd have been more inventive. When Mikhail took his tumble, they should have crawled onstage and started breakdancing to keep him company.
