Donald Trump Warns Supreme Court Ruling Could Lead to 'Ruination'

U.S. President Donald Trump warned of America's "ruination" if the Supreme Court rules against him on tariffs.

The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on November 5 in two suits brought by small businesses challenging Trump's authority to impose tariffs, the very foundation of his aggressive trade policy. They argue the power to set tariffs rests with Congress, not the president.

Writing on Truth Social, Trump said on Sunday that the tariffs ruling would be "one of the most important in the History of the Country."

"If a President is not allowed to use Tariffs, we will be at a major disadvantage against all other Countries throughout the World, especially the 'majors'," Trump wrote. "In a true sense, we would be defenseless!"
