The Guardian removed quotes from an article on Charlie Kirks suspected killer identifying the young man as the only leftist in his family.
In a Friday post about Tyler Robinson, the suspect in custody authorities are accusing of acting alone in shooting and killing Kirk at a Wednesday event in Utah, The Guardian dove into the details of the 22-year-olds life. One major detail, however, has now been completely scrubbed from the post.
Editors note: This article was updated on 12 September 2025 to remove summarized quotes after the verified source who attended high school with Tyler Robinson said after publication that they could not accurately remember details of their relationship, an editors note added to the article now reads.

(6,124 posts)Money is the true arbiter of "justice" these days. Just buy some "fat orange imbecile bit-coins" and your criminal history is forgiven. Why not use that technique and mold the news cycles to your political leanings? Seems plausible. Unless they fire the journalist responsible and publicize it, then their retraction is somewhat meaningless since the "cow has left the barn."

(2,999 posts)Correct.
And a deletion is of little use.
A lie is halfway round the world
conservatives will continue to lie about the shooter being a leftist.
