Dems use Trump-Epstein letter to target five vulnerable House Republicans

The Democratic National Committee launched a new ad campaign that prominently features a letter that President Donald Trump allegedly sent to convicted child sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein, a campaign that Democrats hope will help unseat five House Republicans in vulnerable districts.

“We have certain things in common, Jeffrey,” Trump allegedly wrote in the letter, the quote featured prominently on the campaign ad in large font, and in front of a photo of Trump and Epstein together.

Trump has faced renewed scrutiny this week after a House committee released a copy of a bawdy letter Trump allegedly sent the disgraced financier in 2003 for his 50th birthday. In the letter, Trump allegedly wrote to Epstein: “may every day be another wonderful secret,” written atop a crudely-drawn picture of a naked woman’s torso.

According to Politico, the new ad – which will be sent to tour Washington, D.C. Wednesday as a mobile billboard – is targeting five vulnerable House Republicans: Reps. Anna Luna (R-FL), Mike Lawler (R-NY), David Valadao (R-CA) and Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA).

The administration has thrown everything at this: denial and message discipline, dead on arrival; cheap distractions, useless against a scandal this lurid; and fake outrage, pretending the real offense is the media covering it. Each ploy bombs harder than the last. Again, this story's not going away for a long, long time.

I have been trying to find the Politico article to see if they had all 5 (Raw Story had the image of the ad from Politico but no link to their story).

The DCCC does have a list who they will be targeting in 2026 (and Wittman is on the list) - https://districtsinplay.dccc.org/

The DNC had this press release today (includes the ad image) - DNC Launches Mobile Billboard of Trump’s Perverted Birthday Card to Epstein To Circle White House and Capitol Hill
